The Mission
Our mission as Gum Springs is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ, who will love Him supremely and obey His commands. We strive to accomplish this by:
- Proclaiming the gospel to all people and encouraging them to receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
- Nurturing believers through biblical teaching, prayer, and fellowship, so they may grow in their faith and become fully devoted followers of Christ.
- Equipping believers for ministry and mission, both locally and globally, so they may use their gifts and abilities to serve others and advance the kingdom of God.
- Demonstrating Christ's love to those in need, both inside and outside the church, by meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Pursuing unity and cooperation within the body of Christ and with other Christian organizations, both nationally and internationally.
- Maintaining a commitment to biblical truth.
The Vision
A biblical believing church is a community of believers who hold the Bible as the authoritative source of truth and guidance for their lives. The vision for such a church would be to create a loving and supportive environment where people can grow in their faith, serve others, and share the gospel with the world. This would involve regular worship services, small group Bible studies, and opportunities for service and evangelism. The goal would be to help individuals develop a deeper relationship with God, to equip them to live out their faith in the world, and to build a community of believers who are committed to following Jesus and making a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
